His Joy In The Morning!
Psalm 143:8- “Let the morning bring me word of you unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”
As a sit here in the early morning, I reflect on all God is and what He has done. It’s quiet, and He is calling me to be still in Him. How are we starting our days? Are we waking up seeking His face, or are we begrudgingly getting out of bed, and complaining about all that lies ahead for our day? It’s all about perspective.
When we wake up praising His name, the days might not be easy, but our eyes are set on Him and not the stresses of the world. Let us wake up to His promise of unfailing love, to dive into His words and delight ourselves in Him.
“Delight yourself in The Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to The Lord. Trust in Him, and He will act,” - Psalm 37:4-5.
When we delight ourself in Him, our troubles are placed at His feet. He has searched us and knows us intimately. Delight is so important; it’s a heart posture towards The Lord that shows Him we are excited, and pleased to be in His presence. In Him, do we place our trust, not the fleeting ways of man.
Our creator knows our hearts, He made us all unique and speaks to us all individually. The God of the universe has you on His mind, so start your days praising Him. After all, this Christian life is about a daily walk with God, not just a church service on Sunday.
He places desires in our hearts, and gives ear to our every plea. In our human mind, we cannot begin to understand the majesty of Him. We expect Him to do what we say; and make it happen on our time. Oh how quickly we forget that He is who created us and gives us our breath through each day.
Sometimes it’s those small steps in the morning, that He is calling us into himself. Then there are the times in life He calls us to step out on the water, where we must place all faith and trust in Him, lest we drown. He wants to do miracles in your life, would you only let Him?
“And Peter answered him, ‘Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.’ He said ‘Come.’ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, ‘Lord, save me.’ Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, ‘Oh you of little faith, why do you doubt?” - Matthew 14:29-31.
It’s right there when we take our eyes off Him, and look to the wind that we begin to sink. But despite ourselves, our God is so faithful, and He immediately reaches out His hand to save us. He calls us to come to Him, and along the way He will do in us what is impossible for the world. But, we must place our trust in Him. We cannot look to the right or left; comparing or striving for something else. Let our every morning begin with looking straight to Him as we walk this journey out on the water with Him.
He desires to be with you. He sent His only Son to die for you and be raised again to save you from your sins. In rising, He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in your heart and be your ever source of comfort and your connection back to Him. He wants you to daily discover more of Him, and He is so faithful to share His heart with you, as long as we diligently seek Him.
“You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart,” - Jeremiah 29:13
Do you long to know Him today? Because as we discover more of Him, He shows us who we are. After all He created you and had you in mind before the foundations of the world. He formed your heart.
So Divinely Designed Daughter will you entrust your life to Him so He can show you the way to go?
